Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 Women's Running and Walking Shoes offer the same fit as the GTS 11, but with added features that will allow more breathability, provide resistance to friction at the heel, and enhance cushioning. The upper is made with synthetic overlay materials and Element technology in the lining and mesh to help manage moisture. The midsole incorporates various features to improve comfort, support, and performance: Full length DNA provides adaptive cushioning - it works at the molecular level, dispersing more cushion during each step as more force and weight are applied. DRB ACCEL, a shank-like thermoplastic piece in the midfoot, provides torsional rigidity, while the segmented caterpillar crash pad adds extra cushioning throughout the heel to toe transition. Another added benefit of the midsole design is that it's made with BioMogo, which allows the midsole to decompose at a faster rate than most shoes in landfills - it makes this shoe extremely environmentally friendly. The outsole is durable because it's made with HPR plus (an abrasion resistant rubber compound), Flextra (a rubber piece in the forefoot for tuned flexibility), and Stable Pod Configuration (offers optimal stability and responsiveness by setting foot in a balanced position from heel-strike to toe-off).
