The Darco Slimline Cast Boot is a comfortable, form-fitting cast protection boot that allows patients wearing fiberglass casts and compression bandages to enjoy improved mobility without damaging or dirtying their wound dressings. The dual strap, secure, adjustable fit and easy on/off design accommodates not only casts, but also bulky wound dressings. The Darco Slimline Cast Boot is also recommended for patients suffering from severe edema, lymphedema, and trauma injuries such as severe bruising or lacerations. The open toe design provides improved breathability and easy treatment access, while the square toe shape extends the outsole creating a bumper that protects the toes from impact with obstacles in your walking path. The rocker bottom allows for a smooth roll through gait pattern and the gentle fit is ideal for most damaged foot.

When I broke my ankle and had a cast put on, my doctor referred me to an orthopedic supply office. He prescribed a knee-high, high tech walking boot that cost me $180 and was so heavy and cumbersome I never wore it. Instead, I went online and bought the Darco Slimline Cast Boot for less than $20. It was perfect for my needs, lightweight, adjustable, durable and easy to put on and take off. I continued to use it after my cast was removed. I only wish I could return that "moon boot" that my doctor prescribed!
