Dr. Weil's shoe is possibly the best shoe I've ever had for walking, especially after undergoing foot surgery and not have success with others, orthotics or not. It provides support where needed, has good traction even on wet surfaces, and is light for walking all day without fatigue. The shoes arrived the day before I left for Paris so I had no time to break them in but I never would have known they were brand new they were so comfortable. Dr. Weil ranks very high in my estimation.

Excellent for ankle fusion, October 14, 2011

I underwent 2 surg. for shattered right ankle. Second was a
ankle fusion in Jan. 2006. I have never been able to walk
as before. I tried every shoe I could find and none worked,
always in pain. The surgery left me 1/2 inch shorter on right
leg. This is an excellent shoe for me. Actually, best shoe I ever
wore. Pain gone and walking naturally. I would recommend
these shoes for any one.

Not exactly the shoe of comfort, May 21, 2012

This shoe was possiblity the worst shoe I\'ve every bought. The shoe itself is very hard. The ensoles that come with the shoe are hard and uncomfortable. I went out and bought Dr. Scholls orthopedic ensole to lessen the discomfort,because the ball of my foot hurts now, and I never had that problem before. I am recovering from Meniscus surgery and I thought these shoes would be a great addition to my walking sneakers, WRONG!!!! I truly think the company needs to really look into structure of the shoe. There is no comfort, or softness whatsoever. Very disappointed, and I couldn\'t return the shoes because I had warn them outside thinking that they would be a comfortable shoe to keep on waring day in and day out. So I\'m out $129.00. I will never recommend this company to anyone looking for a good, comfortable walking shoe.

The shoes have enabled me to walk my dog with no back pain. By preventing my foot from rolling to thr inside I notice ae a huge difference in the way I feel. I hope there will be more styles in the orthoheel linde of shoes.

This shoe is a dream to walk in. I tend to get fatigued after about two hours walking but not in these shoes. Amazingly comfortable and the fit is perfect. I wear it so much I am ordering a second pair. I also switch out with a variety of insoles depending upon what I am doing and have not had any problem.

The look and feel:

The brown version of this shoe was so perfect that I ordered it in black as soon as it was offered. It is not as comfortable and it is not as well made. It looks and feels like a cheap shoe whereas the brown one is more elegant and better orthotically with good support. I don't know if this shoe was made in a different country or by a different vendor, but it's different.
