The Basic Everyday Shoe I was looking for.

Having been a 20 year loyal customer to an American shoe company that is sadly, no longer in business, I thought I would never find that basic black, oxford orthopedic shoe again. I called them my 'Ugly Shoes'. But I loved them, and bought them year after year, because they supported my feet, ankles and knees. The Drew Tulip - Orthopedic Shoe is going to be my 'new favorite'. They even look good. They have a more slender profile, than my old shoes. There is plenty of room inside for my wide, flat feet and toes. The arch is not so defined that it hurts my flat instep. In fact, there is room to add an additional support if I decide to. Now that I have a new everyday shoe, I also bought two new pairs of 'fashion comfort' shoes. Maybe all of the young women at my new job will never guess I am 61.

Comfortable

I ordered these shoes after I had major foot surgery. I needed something with excellent support, but I didn't want shoes that were too large or clunky. For an orthopedic shoe, they are nice looking. I wear them with slacks and jeans. They fit my needs and I have been happy with them. The only problem I have had is easily remedied. The laces are the type that do not stay tied and they are a little on the short side so I can't double knot them. I will be replacing the laces. Other than that, I highly recommend these shoes.

Really Comfortable Shoe with Great Support

I have had these shoes for quite a while now. They have been extremely comfortable and supportive. I walk for exercise and they have done well for me. I like the slimmer profile of this shoe. The only criticism I have is that I have already had to replace one of the shoe laces, but that eventually happens anyway. These shoes have a steel shank, which I need, and I find them comfortable and supportive enough to wear all day. I would buy them again.
