The Moore Medical High Ankle Walker is specifically designed for patients with ankle injuries ranging from acute sprains to stress fractures. This ankle walker has five adjustable straps: three straps above the ankle and two straps over the forefoot. Wearers will appreciate the comfortable foam liner and the tacked in tongue that stays in place during fitting. Two uprights - one on either side of the ankle - provide protection and stability. Two pads are provided to cushion the Malleolus areas of the ankle (bony sides of the ankle: inner and outer). The durable rocker bottom helps with mobility and gait. The Moore Medical High Ankle Walker offers comfortable mobility and needed stability for on the go patients with ankle injuries.

Things to keep in mind about Moore Medical High Ankle Walkers:

• Ideal for patients with ankle injuries i.e. sprains, stable fractures and stress fractures
• Has comfortable foam liner and a tacked in tongue
• Comes with a 13" shaft, which will improve stability when walking
• When selecting size, make sure the size of the Ankle Walker is the same as your shoe size
• Straps can be trimmed at the ends for desired length
• We suggest keeping the plastic coverings over the two uprights during fitting since the uprights are covered with hook and loop fabric, which sticks immediately to the outer foam and straps
• The two uprights must remain at 90 degrees
• Snug the boot liner as close as you can to the cast or dressing
• The heel height should be the same as the heel height of an athletic shoe - if the heel height of the boot is higher than your shoe it will add stress on joints, which could cause pain and potential injury to the hip, knees or back; if this occurs we recommend using the Evenup Leveling Device to equalize limb length
• Two pads are provided to help cushion the inner and outer sides of the ankle bone
• Rocker bottom improves gait and mobility
• This ankle walker can be washed by hand using a cloth with light amount of water then left to air dry
