I've had my Monterey sandals for over six years, I had to have the toe piece of one of them re-secured last summer - mostly because I wear them all the time, spring, summer and fall, and walking through wet grass in the early morning has not been the best for them - however, they have withstood that treatment, are the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn and if they are ever un-fixable, then I'll replace them with a new pair of the same. I usually take a 71/2, the size I wear in these is a 37.
