I like to go barefoot, but I began looking for slippers because one of my toes was turning blue this winter when it got cold. I know from experience that real fleece is FAR superior to fake fleece and much easier to clean. I knew I didn't want a soled slipper due to my preference for barefoot. I also knew that I wouldn't be wearing slippers outdoors. I ordered these (old friend bootees) for those reasons and their relative low cost (at the time I ordered). I've worn mine nearly constantly while indoors for about 4 months and believe they will be durable. They prevent my toe from turning blue. They muffle and cushion my footsteps, and they are comfortable. Actually, they are very comfortable and quite soft. I can easily live with the "negatives" which are: 1. They did feel a bit small for the size (my size was at the top end of the size range) and 2. I'm not sure they need a lace (I tie it at the heel), but they might if the foot was at the low end of the size range. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase of these slippers.
