I mean, I called these people with a laundry list of complications and needs...they listened patiently, gave me some options, and recommended this shoe as a start. And it made sense,,get a good everyday shoe and then come back for the dress shoe. This shoe, while not much to look at, fits many of my needs and even a few wants. Moderately priced, fast shipping, stretch vamp so my toes are happy, leather shoe so my heel is cradled..geez, what more could you ask for. Very pleased and with order again .

I don't have diabetes but I have a big toe that leans towards the outside edge and is just bone and is very sensitive. I also have a metatarsal or ball of foot problem on one of my feet. I wear orthotics which work great in these shoes and am able to leave one of the inserts that came with the shoe in for more cushioning. I always take a larger size to accomodate the orthotics than if I didn't have them. These shoes work for both my problems.
