Various different fibers are used to manufacture Thorlos foot protectors such as synthetic fibers made up of THOR•LON® Acrylic, Coolmax®:, Thermolite®, and Nylon. These fibers offer blister protection, maintain resiliency, will keep feet cooler, and wick moisture better. Wool blend fibers like Merino Wool/Silk and Wool/ THOR•LON® are used in socks to help keep feet warm and comfortable for cold outdoor activities like skiing or hunting. Thorlos also uses the silver fiber known as X-Static® - a silver-coated textile fiber that can help reduce the growth of odor-causing fungi and bacteria, which can help lessen foot odor.
