The Spira Classic Leather EZ Strap Women's Walking Shoe provides a level of cushioning that is second to none. This women's walking shoe incorporates WaveSpring® technology at the forefoot and heel area to minimize shock absorption and gain energy return during the gait cycle. WaveSpring® technology consists of a metal alloy WaveSpring® that is durable, stable and active. The WaveSpring® is designed to not bottom out or breakdown overtime, something that typically happens with other shoes that just have EVA or foam material under the foot - wearers will feel the same cushioning when they reach the 500-mile mark as they did on their first mile wearing the Spira Classic Leather EZ Strap. Wearers will also feel less stress on joints, ligaments and tendons because the WaveSpring® design reduces peak impact forces by up to 20%. Besides its WaveSpring® technology, the Classic Leather EZ Strap comes with a full grain leather upper and a dual strap closure design for an adjustable fit. The high grade EVA midsole and durable rubber outsole offer extra cushioning and flexibility. The EVA footbed is removable to accommodate custom orthotics or arch supports.
