Is the Drew Tulip good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Drew Tulip is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The Dual-Density insole adds targeted cushioning.
What widths does the Drew Tulip come in?
The Drew Tulip is available in Narrow (2A/B), Medium (B/D), Wide (D/E), Extra Wide (2E/3E). It also has a removable footbed, so you can swap in custom orthotics for a personalized fit. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
What does the rocker bottom sole do on the Drew Tulip?
The rocker bottom sole on the Drew Tulip promotes a smooth, rolling gait from heel strike to toe-off. This reduces pressure on the ball of the foot and forefoot joints, making it particularly helpful for metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma, and arthritis.

Good shoe.

I have bought this shoe several times. The only one that did not last a long time was the patent croc.
Good support and well made.

The Basic Everyday Shoe I was looking for.

Having been a 20 year loyal customer to an American shoe company that is sadly, no longer in business, I thought I would never find that basic black, oxford orthopedic shoe again. I called them my 'Ugly Shoes'. But I loved them, and bought them year after year, because they supported my feet, ankles and knees. The Drew Tulip - Orthopedic Shoe is going to be my 'new favorite'. They even look good. They have a more slender profile, than my old shoes. There is plenty of room inside for my wide, flat feet and toes. The arch is not so defined that it hurts my flat instep. In fact, there is room to add an additional support if I decide to. Now that I have a new everyday shoe, I also bought two new pairs of 'fashion comfort' shoes. Maybe all of the young women at my new job will never guess I am 61.

Comfortable

I ordered these shoes after I had major foot surgery. I needed something with excellent support, but I didn't want shoes that were too large or clunky. For an orthopedic shoe, they are nice looking. I wear them with slacks and jeans. They fit my needs and I have been happy with them. The only problem I have had is easily remedied. The laces are the type that do not stay tied and they are a little on the short side so I can't double knot them. I will be replacing the laces. Other than that, I highly recommend these shoes.

Really Comfortable Shoe with Great Support

I have had these shoes for quite a while now. They have been extremely comfortable and supportive. I walk for exercise and they have done well for me. I like the slimmer profile of this shoe. The only criticism I have is that I have already had to replace one of the shoe laces, but that eventually happens anyway. These shoes have a steel shank, which I need, and I find them comfortable and supportive enough to wear all day. I would buy them again.

The shoe is fine but not for me

I have worn this Drew model for quite a few years but this one was to be a WW and is no wider than then my older ones that are W and was 1/2" longer, so my custom Orthotics did not fit properly. Very sad about this. But Healthy Feet service reps were wonderful and made suggestions and I ordered a new type with a higher toe box and hopefully the fit and comfort will be back.

Wide in toe and heel

My feet have narrow heels and wide toes - kind of spoon shaped. Most all shoes are too tight in the toe and too loose in the heel. I use shoe stretchers a lot. These shoes are wide enough in the toe, so no shoe stretcher needed! They are pretty good looking and very sturdy. But the heels are really wide! I'm wearing them with heel liners, but some day I would love to find some shoes that actually fit my feet.

Shoes are of quality and service was quality.

I have special needs for foot wear, thank you for making shoes available. I have narrow, size 12, needing specially made insert with rooming toes. So often good shoes disappear in a couple years. This style has been available for several years. thank you

IT FITS, IT FITS!

I had been wanting a light tan Tulip because I have had such luck with the pair I have, but I guess so did many others this spring, so when I ordered they were out of that color in my size and didn't know if or when they would get more in. So I ordered a different shoe, a last I had never worn. I loved the shoe but as I walked around it was touching my bunion and I had to send them back.I waited about a month, went back to the website, and, eureka, it was showing the light tan Tulip in a range of sizes. They must have arrived in the meantime.I have been wearing Drew Shoes for, probably, 30 years. There are certain "last" numbers that I have learned fit me.

Fit as expected but too shiny

My shoes fit and do not have to be "worn in". My real issue is with the finish of these "brown croc" shoes: the extreme shine of the so-called "leather upper" is really unattractive. The photo on the site does not show them as shiny as they are in person.?

Love my Drew Shoes

The only problem I have with the shoes is the laces are a bit too short and too skinny. They're difficult to tie.

Does not run large as described

Description said this shoe runs large. My 9.5 athletic shoes fit a little snug so I dutifully ordered a 10 as suggested; way too big. I was afraid the 9.5 might also be too large.

Great Shoe Overall

I like this shoe. Wore orthotic inserts only with regular shoes one year prior. These have steel shaft that for me replaces the need for my orthotic insert. They lood quite presentable in the brown leather I purchased and I would heartily recommend to those with flat feet and hammer toes etc. Quite a relief for me. Long treks: cushion feet with bulky socks.

Comfortable, Lightweight

These shoes are very comfortable for everyday use, not quite supportive enough for a lot of walking if you need strong support. They look good and although they accommodate orthotics, they don't look as "orthopedic" as some of the orthodontic-friendly shoes. Great variety of colors.

A Bit Dressy

I ordered the black patterned model in error. I usually get the flat black leather. The shiny black ones were a bit dressy and I never have anything on my feet even remotely dressy. Orthotics and a bad ankle dictate rather severe shoes. I am enjoying the lighter mood and good support of these shoes.

A bit dressy

I actually ordered the color in error. I meant to order the flat black, but instead ordered the shiny black patterned selection. I like them! I usually have no shoes that look even remotely stylish or dressy, but these did nicely for a Christmas party.

Comfy Comfy

Have arthritis with bunions and overlapping toes. Removed the two insoles, inserted orthotics. Fit like a dream!
