Is the Apis 801 good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Apis 801 is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The leather upper provides lasting comfort and durability.
What widths does the Apis 801 come in?
The Apis 801 is available in Medium (B/D), Extra Wide (2E/3E), 2X (4E), 4X (8E). The extra-depth design and removable footbed give you room to swap in custom orthotics or accommodate swelling. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
What are the key comfort features of the Apis 801?
The Apis 801 has a wide toe box that gives toes room to spread naturally without pressure, and has a contoured footbed that cradles the arch and supports natural foot alignment. Mt Emey shoes are purpose-built for moderate to severe foot deformities, with extra-depth construction and seamless interiors to reduce friction on sensitive skin.

APIs 801 shoes

Great shoe for the swollen foot, the big foot. It turned out to be too deep and consequently too big.

Love this shoe, buying my second pair!

I was recently diagnosed with neuropathy in the soles of my feet. I cannot wear standard run of the mill shoes, period. I work on concrete floors all day long, 9-12 hours a day. I was desperate to find an alternative, and found this shoe. It has been a life-saver for me, enabling me to continue to work comfortably all day long. The shoe is true to size, and very well made. All leather uppers, very comfortable soles. I've been wearing my last pair for nearly a year now and they still look great. Only buying another pair because I want to have another pair if this vendor ever stops selling them, I don't want to be without!First thing I did was pull out the inner soles inside. I took a pair of Adidas slip ons that have a super soft padding lower, cut off the over-the-foot strap, and stuffed the cushioned lower into the inside bottom of this shoe. Wow! This gives me the cushion I need, and even while walking on concrete floors all day, I feel like I'm walking on pillows! Seriously!!I LOVE these shoes, and this set up. Works great, will keep wearing these shoes. Love them.
