Is the Drew Rockford good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Drew Rockford is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The leather upper provides lasting comfort and durability.
What widths does the Drew Rockford come in?
The Drew Rockford is available in Medium (B/D), Wide (D/E), Extra Wide (2E/3E), 2X (4E). It also has a removable footbed, so you can swap in custom orthotics for a personalized fit. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
Is the Drew Rockford waterproof?
Yes. The Drew Rockford features waterproof construction to keep feet dry in wet conditions. The waterproof barrier keeps moisture out while still allowing the foot to breathe.

No break-in period needed

Excellent boots. I take a wide shoe so ordered 6E and I can wear any socks. Boots are very comfortable. Not what I expected for my first pair of hiking footwear. Very well made.

Comfortable Work Shoes for Men

My son is on his feet all day. He said this is the best work shoe he has ever had and his feet and legs hurt him less. The support is wonderful as he has to get up and down, climb step, and work from the knee position. Janet, mother

These perfectly solve all my comfort and performance issues.

I now have two pairs of these (one suede, the other black). Not only does the width of both pairs accommodate my wide feet, but the interior height of the boots allows the use of thick orthopedic insoles and pads. Both have proven to be waterproof (I am a master gardener in Western Washington state). They are comfortable and easy to put on and take off. I couldn't be more pleased.

great boot / runs narrow

size is spot on but width runs narrow. The widest I could get in a 11.5 was 6E and it still was not wide enough. I have Morton's Neuroma and I can not have a shoe that puts ANY pressure in the toe bed on the sides of my feet. I kept the boot and and ordered a shoe stretcher. I think this is going to be durable boot cuz I Stretched the hell out of them and they did not rip apart lol...I have ordered a half dozen shoes and had to return them because most seem to run narrow. If you have Morton's Neuroma and need a wide shoe then order the Shreveport here on this site. I ordered a 11.5 that came in a 4E wide and it has PLENTY of room. People with Morton's Neuroma tend to order at least a 1/2 size larger but with this shoe you do not have to. I kept them but could have ordered the 11 that is my true size and would have been go to go.

Worth it!

I have large feet, size 15EE, along with hammer/mallet toes and prescription orthotics. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am older, so I only wear these boots when I have to go out and run my snow blower and clean off the walks. If I was younger, I would wear them camping, fishing and hunting. They are the best!

Finally!

I originally purchased this in the lighter color, returned because I realized it would not retain a clean look for long. I did later purchase the same boot in the dark brown color. After trying many different shoes over the years for my old wide feet with a high arch I finally found one that felt great straight out of the box. I did remove the added insole and replaced with an insole I use. They are not the best looking boot out there, but not ugly either. They seem heavier than other boots I have tried but not so heavy that they are cumbersome. They are quite roomy, no more rubbing against the outer leather. A shoe that looks great is a plus but hey I buy them for functionality. As for functionality, I am now walking like normal with no pain. My long dog walks are once again very enjoyable.

Comfortable and supportive

Very pleased with purchase. Easy to get on. Comfortable. I have one Charcot ankle/foot and one repaired ankle with pins and plates due to injury, so support and comfort are super important to me.

Drew Rockford tan

I was hoping the tan was more of a finished leather that could be wiped clean. They are more of a suede, very hard to keep clean. Should have ordered brown or black. Very comfortable though. Would recommend them from anyone suffering from an uncomfortable store bought pair.

Impossibly difficult to keep laced

This is a great fitting boot, but ... The hooks at the top that are used for the final lacing are slightly pointed so they tear up a standard boot lace. I switched to a classic heavy, braided boot lace and that is doing well, but ... Too small for a leather lace to work well, and angled so that lace can work its way out. The padding at the top of the boot is so generous that it is difficult to get a really snug fix right away.Bottomline: switch the laces, tie them tight and expect to retie them after 15 minutes. Then they should stay laced -- unless you get on the ground gardening, tending a fire, or fixing a machine. If the laces hit the ground, they are likely to hop out of the top hooks.

Very comfortable, no break in time needed. I wear a size 9 4e and this boot fits perfect. It is built very sturdy. I believe it is worth the extra money.

Nothing special for Haglunds Deformity

When shopping on this site, I looked for boots with the 'Haglunds Deformity' condition checked off on the list. What I was hoping to get was a boot with built in heel padding -- I have a pair of boots that are practically falling apart but they have nicely padded heels and they're the only boots I can currently wear. The good news is, there's enough room for heel padding, so I will probably be able to make these boots work. But they definitely aren't great out of the box for my condition.Anyway, some other pro's and cons:Pro: Seems really well made, the width of the boot is very spot on with measurements.Con: Aside from above ... I think the boot runs small. My foot measures as a 9 but I find those rarely fit well, so I got a 10 and I'm glad I did in this case. Occasionally I find footwear where I can wear a 9, but seems rare.To me, the insoles that come with it are a little too 'sturdy', I like a little more cushion to my insoles, but that is easy to swap out. I think after breaking them in, they'll be reasonably comfortable.

Comfortable and Supportive

We purchased this shoe in black for my husband to use following an ankle fusion. He had difficulty finding shoes that would support his good ankle and yet allow for the new gait the surgery had created for him and still be the standard-issue black he needed for his uniforms. These are working well for him. He says they are comfortable and sturdy and he wears them around the house some, too.

Awesome boot

I have foot problems most my adult life. My employees even mentioned recently how worn out I looked, the foot pain was so bad I did not want to walk. I purchased these boots two weeks ago, because of the wide toe box and the other reviews I read on this boot I was desperate for help. The foot pain is about 90% gone. I'm back to taking my daily walks out in the woods and enjoying life. I highly recommend these boots.

Quality boot

I ordered a 8.5 6e. Because they do run small on the width , its more like a 5e. I I wear Orthotics inserts so I need to have extra wide boots. I love that there water proof boots and insulated. These boots are just what I was looking for. Extra wide in my shoe size waterproof insulated oil resistance and slip proof. Great boot. I highly recommend this product. Hope this helps.

FINALLY!!!

I have finally found a shoe that actually fits my duck feet! These boots have made a tremendous difference in my daily work routine. I have been having extreme problems with one of my ankles and are facing ankle fusion. As a last ditch effort I thought I would give these a try and within a month the turnaround has been overwhelming. Within a week I was no longer walking with a cane and I have continued to improve so much that I have postponed surgery and if I continue to progress, may even cancel altogether. I like these boots so much that I ordered a pair of Drew tennis shoes (Josh) and they too fit like they were custom made specifically for me. I am now looking at yet a third pair of Drew casual shoes. The toe bed in the Drew boot is wide enough so my feet do not feel squeezed yet the ankle is snug so as not to allow my foot to slip. I walk around on concrete floor for 10-12 hours a day and the difference these boots have made for me is like the difference between night and day. I have owned boots that cost nearly $350 and they didn't fit anywhere near as good as Drew does. If you have problem feet, then Drew shoes are for you!
