Is the Apis 9708 good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Apis 9708 is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The leather upper provides lasting comfort and durability.
What widths does the Apis 9708 come in?
The Apis 9708 is available in Medium (B/D), Extra Wide (2E/3E), 2X (4E), 4X (8E). The extra-depth design and removable footbed give you room to swap in custom orthotics or accommodate swelling. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
Can the Apis 9708 fit an AFO brace?
Yes. The Apis 9708 is specifically designed to accommodate ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs). The extra-depth construction and wide opening provide enough room for the brace without compromising fit or comfort.

Excellent shoe

I got the 10.5, 6E and they have made a huge difference. My feet always hurt so much in the mornings that I could barely walk, now they only hurt a little bit. They also were very tender and painful after work, but now the pain is minimal.

Perfect fit and great customer service

This is the first pair of shoes that have fit properly since halfway through puberty. On top of that, the customer service was perfect. I had to do an exchange, and it was super easy.

Apis 9708

I have a prosthetic on one foot and a brace on the other, so I needed shoes that fit on my foot with the brace in it. These shoes fit well without being too tight. Not many shoes work fine on both feet. These seem to work well so far. I need a few more months of wearing them to determine if they are right for me. Thanks

The only comfortable shoes for wide feet

I bought these for my husband after he tried MANY expensive pairs of shoes with very little support. These people know how a shoe needs to fit on a wide foot. As soon as my husband put them on he sent me a picture and told me they felt like he was walking on a cloud. Will be buying more. And the ankle support is out of bounds, THANK YOU!

Nice Sneakers

These sneaker fit well with my AFO's. My only complaint is the fabric straps used to hold the laces. They are a weak point which can render these shoes useless if they break

Finally!

My husband has neuropathy and edema in his feet. We have purchased many shoes trying to find a pair that he could wear comfortably. These fit the bill. They are a nice-looking shoe with a wide toe box. So happy to have found them. We were afraid he was going to be forced to go barefoot!

Great shoes

Shoes are great! One thing I don't understand is why the laces are a foot too long. Same thing in another pair of MT Emey shoes I have. The best thing is that I can get these shoes in a 9E. Hard to find.

Comfy and great looking!

Didn't think I could find a shoe that my Charcot feet would feel great in and look like "normal" shoes but these did just that!! They are so comfy I bought them in both black and brown! So glad I found this website, thanks!!

Little did I know.

Thanks to healthyfeetstore.com. Your input to sizing my feet has proved invaluable. I learned something I'd suspected for a while now. My New Balance 6E shoes for the last 12 years were not wide enough. I'm now so happy, and so much more comfortable in my new (correct width) Apis/ Mt. Emey 9E Athletic Shoe. You've earned my respect, my trust, and therefore my continued business in the future. Boo-yah!

Perfect for KAFO wear

I wear a Ottobock C-brace and these shoes work perfectly! They are deep enough to accommodate the thicker insole I wear on my “off” or non brace side. On the brace side the sole and upper are more than sturdy enough to fit and support the brace foot plate.

Good investment!

Shoe meets all my expectations as far as width is concerned--my bunions appreciate that. They are just a tad heavy.

I am very pleased so far.

I just bought these, and received them in days. Still trying them out, but first fitting and impression is very good. I finally have shoes that are not cramping my toes. I have wide feet, so I got the 9e. Very comfortable.
