Apex Breeze Athletic Knit: Orthopedic Athletic Shoes for Women

When it comes to athletic footwear, you want something that is light weight and flexible. Ideally, athletic footwear should have adequate arch support. When it supports the skeletal structure of your foot, comfort is bound to follow. Ideal athletic footwear should also mimic the natural feeling of being barefooted. The Breeze Athletic Knit from Apex footwear has all that and much more! These shoes are made from the best materials to serve their individual purpose and facilitate the user to deliver their best performance. The Breeze Athletic Knit is made for exercise and most other physical activities. The Breeze Athletic Knit is designed with consideration to biomechanical gait analysis to produce just the right level of support.

Additionally, these shoes have a thicker and softer sole to endure and absorb the constant pounding in every step that your sensitive feet or knees might have been taking. It even features a curved sole to help with efficient heel to toe movement in order to produce a forward momentum that will thrust you with every step.Aside from improved performance, the Breeze Athletic Knit doesn't restrict your feet like most manufactured athletic footwear. This is primarily because of the wide toe box that gives you plenty of space to wiggle your toes every once in a while. Why you might want to wiggle your toes is because it feels great and secondly, because it promotes blood flow to your foot's extremities. Those with osteoarthritis, diabetic feet and bunions can significantly benefit from the Breeze Athletic Knit. Patients with such foot conditions may even use them for gym based activities and other aerobic exercises. The Breeze Athletic Knit is a sports wear that will last you the long haul so you don't have to worry about buying another pair anytime soon. Here are some additional features that the shoes offer:
  • Outsoles comprised of rubber for maximum traction as well as stability
  • Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Midsole for reduced impact and lighter steps
  • Padded tongue and collar for a comfortable snug fit
  • Wide toe box to accommodate bunions

Is the Apex Breeze Athletic Knit good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Apex Breeze Athletic Knit is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The knit upper provides lasting comfort and durability.
What widths does the Apex Breeze Athletic Knit come in?
The Apex Breeze Athletic Knit is available in Medium (B/D), Wide (D/E), Extra Wide (2E/3E). The extra-depth design and removable footbed give you room to swap in custom orthotics or accommodate swelling. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
What are the key comfort features of the Apex Breeze Athletic Knit?
The Apex Breeze Athletic Knit includes anti-microbial lining to control odor and bacteria, and uses breathable materials to keep feet cool, dry, and less prone to irritation. Apex shoes are biomechanically designed to support natural foot function, with many styles qualifying for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.

Great color, fit and support!

The blue and white Apex Breeze Athletic shoes are a great fit and very supportive. I needed to order an X-wide due to my bunions and they feel so comfortable with extra room in the toe box. I like the elastic laces so I don’t have to tie them, however they included the regular shoelaces as well!

Great shoes!

Ordered these as a way to ease Morton's Neuroma during exercise. I measured my feet according to their instructions ~ (I was apprehensive as it said I was only a 7 extra wide - I have purchased other shoes and 7.5 is sometimes too small). The shoes fit perfectly with my ortho inserts. Best part ~ no pain. Lots of wiggle room for my toes! They do run a little big - but I'm ok with that!!!

Lightweight and durable

These shoes seem very sturdy and strongly made. They are lightweight. The soles are awesome, seems to have a good grip when you're walking outside. My ankles turn easily and these are very supportive in that area. The bottom of the shoe is a little wider and holds me up better so no ankle flipping. I kind of expected them to be a little deeper than they are but they work fine. And they look great. They have a Great toe Box area, my toes are free to move. The size is very good. I did the measuring of my feet and got exactly what I needed for my feet. The material is strong and allows my feet to breathe.

Wonderful!

These shoes are both supportive and fashionable. The fit was perfect, as was the comfort. It is difficult to find shoes that fit with my bunion and that are supportive enough for my ball-of-foot pain, and have removable beds. I'm thinking of purchasing the pink one now!

Comfy and cute

I got an extra pair because it's so hard to find shoes that are supportive and comfy for my big toe arthritis (roomy and soft in the toe box) AND look cute. I got wide (because the medium ran a little snug) and my orthotics fit in great also. Plus they have lots of air holes to help keep my feet cooler. Yay!

Great shoes

I'm an obese restaurant worker. I have flat feet so my shoes need to hold up. They're comfy. I love the cord thing, easy to adjust and easy for me to put on. Tons of toe room. These shoes even help my arthritic knee get some relief. I plan on ordering a 2nd pair asap.

Pleased with my purchase

At first I was uncertain about the fit. I took my time adjusting the no tie laces so that it would not be tight across the top of my foot and they fit great. The tongue of the shoe is wide enough to not let my socks peak through when the laces are stretched wide. The back of the heel is low so it doesn't rub like other shoes can. I wore them around the house before wearing them outside and I had no troubles.

Narrower than usual

I have loved wearing these shoes but the shoes I received in my recent order are much narrower than my size 10 WW which I always wear. I have always counted on these shoes to offer comfort for my bunion problem.
