Is the Drew Lightning II good for plantar fasciitis?
Yes — the Drew Lightning II is an excellent choice for plantar fasciitis. Its arch support, cushioned insole, and shock absorbing help reduce strain on the plantar fascia — the band of tissue along the bottom of your foot that causes heel and arch pain. The leather upper provides lasting comfort and durability.
What widths does the Drew Lightning II come in?
The Drew Lightning II is available in Narrow (2A/B), Medium (B/D), Wide (D/E), Extra Wide (2E/3E), 2X (4E). The extra-depth design and removable footbed give you room to swap in custom orthotics or accommodate swelling. This shoe is A5500 coded and may qualify for Medicare therapeutic shoe coverage.
What does the rocker bottom sole do on the Drew Lightning II?
The rocker bottom sole on the Drew Lightning II promotes a smooth, rolling gait from heel strike to toe-off. This reduces pressure on the ball of the foot and forefoot joints, making it particularly helpful for metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma, and arthritis.

too narrow in the toe for me

Looks like a great shoe, but I need a wider toe box. YMMV

good shoes

These shoes are made well. I gave it a 4 star only because they didn't work for my husband. They did not have enough support in the arch for him.

Excellent customer service

After a bit of frustration searching the website, I needed some help.Luckily, I was able to speak with two different customer service reps who were patient and helpful. They made all the difference. The shoes arrived without delay and were exactly what I needed. However, the website could be improved. As I type this review, a large search bar blocks my view and I must move the text around--quite annoying. Other than that, I will use this store again based on the personal service.

Lightning 2 shoes

They are comfortable and wide enough but do not hold up well. We will see how they last after foot surgery

Excellent Arch support

These shoes have a really supportive arch system. So much so that I had a little difficulty getting used to them. It's really easy to walk in them, but because of the walking sole, I had difficulty adjusting to standing for long periods of time. I have a lot of leg problems and other than the getting used to them think they were an excellent choice.

Easy Choice

I own a pair of Drew boots and they are so comfortable, I was looking for a low top or tennis shoe, when I discovered this wonderful website Healthy Feet. I bought these thinking they would be like my boots, and they are very comfortable right out of the box. I wear Sole inserts for arch support so I had to remove the squishy padded bed to make room for them but in my boots there’s room for both. I totally destroyed my first pair of Drew boots after developing a drop in my ankle on the instep of my right foot. I’d had knee replacement and the Ortho doc told me he likes to align the feet to be straighter in position to the knee. I believe that’s why I developed the ankle issue. In my boots I have to wear an ankle brace and stack little squares of felt under my heel to align my ankle up so they I don’t destroy the boots and the inserts. Because these shoes don’t have a high top, I don’t need to wear the brace or use the felt pads.

Lightning II Strikes

Oh happy day - I've found my go to work shoe. The Drew Lightning II is the most comfortable shoe for work I've bought in years, and I've bought several different brands. Some cost more than this shoe and yet were not as comfortable or well made. One of my feet is a 2ew and the other is a 4ew.The 4 extra wides work well for me and based on some of the other reviews, I ordered 1/2 size larger. If your feet are wide at the toe area, you will really like the feel of these shoes. I am on my feet on the job all day, and the difference I'm feeling when I get home is substantial. Money well spent - when the time comes, I'll be back for another pair.

Great shoe

It is a great shoe once you find your size. For me this shoe fits a bit small. I wear a 9.5 6E in most other shoes but had to go to size 10 6E to get the proper fit. I work at a big DIY store and am on my feet for 8 hours and have to have the proper width and construction and this shoe is doing really well so far.

Very happy with fit

I am very happy with the fit and the look. I have had some minor trouble with wearing them all day at a desk. They often get a little hot while at a desk. With Covid that hasn't been much of a concern as there is no need to wear shoes into an office.I have also had some wear in an odd spot near the middle of the shoe, but it is very minor after almost a year.Bottom line is that I am here to get another pair tonight.

Getting the most from your shoes.

Wore the shoes in the house only because I wasn't confident they would give me the comfort. I tried them without the first insert, nope not it. Tried them with my shoe insert, nope not it. Place the original insert and it was great but still wasn't sure. Did a day's worth of work in the yard with my other shoes and my feet hurt, my knees and ankles hurt. When I put on your shoes everything stopped hurting. Wow. What a difference. I am a greatly satisfied customer.

Great shoe

I purchased these shoes because I walk all day on my route. My feet always hurt by the end of the day. With these shoes I've noticed a drastic change. They are so comfortable. I love them. I wear a size 14 2E and they fit great.

Best fitting shoes

Perfect fit and most comfortable walking and supported shoes I have ever felt I have owned in my lifetime. No more pain in the heels or ball of my feet. I hope they keep making this shoe, I bought one pair, and then two more within two weeks.

They Fit Comfortably!!

My hubby has very finicky feet and he is hard to please. These fit him the first time out of the box and he liked them! No complaints either! He's been wearing them for everyday type of activities and no problems.

Run small

i currently have two pair, of the same shoe, this because my right foot which measures a 8 2e wtih a high arch fits in the 8.5 4e, but the left foot which is a little over a 8 and a little wider does not fit well in the 8.5 4e. I was told to buy a 9 4e and try them which im doing now and if i can fit them on the smaller foot keep them and send back the 8.5 or keep both pair and wear a 8.5 on smaller foot and 9 on larger.

great shoe

Perfect walking shoe, wish there were choices other than black and white, though. the white ones are embarrassingly Dad-white and all black shoes are inherently too hot. Still, a fantastic walking shoe.
