Darco PegAssist Removable Peg Insoles (PTO Series): Designed for Diabetic Wound Care

A wound care insole designed to off-load pressure from any area of the planter surface of the foot. The Darco wound care insole is the perfect choice for the treatment of diabetic ulcers and other diabetic foot wounds because it minimizes pressure on the bottom of the foot for faster healing while allowing you to maintain your mobility. Provides short-term pain management for patients suffering due to bony abnormalities or other painful conditions that may later be surgically corrected.
  • Pegs can be removed to off-load pressure form any area of plantar surface of the foot.
  • Constructed of an 18mm combination of Plastazote and Poron to provide the perfect combination of shock absorption and moldability.
  • After peg removal, the Poron cover remains intact to eliminate the incidence of ring edema and assist in supporting the area.
  • Removable toe cover helps to ensure that the forefoot remains clean, dry and free of foreign objects.
  • A single-use lipstick tube is included to mark the area of desired pressure reduction and to ensure proper peg removal.
  • The Peg-Assist is to be used specifically with the Darco Square Toe Medical-Surgical Shoe as a replacement insole system.
