Studies have shown that as many as 88% of women wear shoes that are too small and 70% of men wear shoes that are the wrong size. Wearing ill-fitting shoes can have serious long-term ramifications, so it’s absolutely critical to know your ideal size. With that in mind, we’ve created a number of helpful guides so you know how to measure your shoe size accurately.
Our Sizing Charts & Fitting Guides
How to Measure Shoe Size
Measuring your shoe size is fairly easy:
- Remove any shoes and place your foot on a sheet of paper.
- Draw the outline of your foot on the paper. It’s best to do this while wearing the kind of socks you would typically wear while walking in shoes.
- Using a ruler, measure the length of your feet from the longest points. Do the same for the width.
- Use our sizing charts above to find your perfect size using U.S., UK, and European sizing conventions. The length measurement will provide your shoe size requirement, and the width measurement will give you your width requirement.
Remember, it’s not enough to know your shoe size. You have to know how to measure your foot width so that you can avoid wearing shoes that are too wide or too narrow.
