When Podiatrist Adam Cirlincione went with his pregnant wife to her first pre-natal appointment all of the doctor's recommendations made sense except one, no more nail polish until the baby was born. Curious, Dr. Cirlincione did some research and was horrified to discover that the most popular nail polishes on department store shelves contained harmful chemicals. Many of the most harmful chemicals present in nail polish also cause yellow, brittle nails. It made no sense, so Dr. Cirlincione discussed the problem with his colleague, Dr. William Spielfogel and the two decided to develop a non-toxic nail polish. Dr.'s Remedy Enriched, Non-Toxic Nail Polish is not only free of harmful chemicals but is enriched with enamel strengthening vitamins and ingredients like tea tree oil and garlic bulb extract. Manufacturer's Note: For best results, apply the Basic Base clear base coat, a layer of colored polish, and finish with the Calming Clear sealing top coat. Allow each coat to dry before applying a new layer. Do not attempt to apply polish over the Calming Clear top coat. A toe fungus response
Hi. Probably not your typical or ideal review, but in case there's someone else out there suffering with this...here goes.

After trying in vain to solve this pernicious problem with gels and such that did nothing, and starting to butcher my nails, I recently decided to paint my nails against the ugly mottled yellow.

I learned that conventional polishes can lock in the fungus. Not good. But then I discovered there are polishes that contain antifungal ingredients. Enter my purchase from Healthy Feet.

It was/is not my expectation that this would be a cure, but at least while I pursued a visual solution...I would not be making the medical issue worse.

As an artist...and again, not wanting to be flashy...I chose a light pink very close to the natural shade. And I got on youtube to learn how to apply it. I didn't use a pre or post coat...but I applied it and I'm very pleased with the result. It's only been a couple weeks...so don't know if it will ultimately be a cure as well.

Something Healthy For My Nails
I recently became a customer of the Healthy Feet Store and was surprised to see that they also sell non-toxic nail polish. My fingernails have all the unhealthy signs which were described. I was aware of these problems but I don't like to go without nail polish and just assumed all polishes are alike. I decided to give the product a try and ordered some polish and the 2-in-1 top coat. I only began using it during the last couple of weeks so I'm not able to report on any improvement in my nail quality as yet. I can say that the polish goes on very smoothly - I find 3 coats give the best coverage - and with the top coat applied the manicure I gave myself 5 days ago looks like it was just done. There has been no chipping at the nail edges, a problem I always had even with so-called "better quality" polishes and top coats. I like the feeling that I'm doing something healthy for my nails and plan to use only the Dr.'s Remedy while I monitor my nails for improvement. I'll be happy to review again when I (hopefully) see positive results. If I do, the price will be well worth it.

Excellent product
Thanks for the speedy delivery. The polish should be classified as SHEER. It takes at least two to three layers to cover as opposed to others colors. However,I am pleased to use such a beneficial nail polish.

It worked for me!
I bought this nail polish after having laser treatment on my nails, which didn't work and cost over $1000. I used a prescription anti-fungal and this nail polish and I lost the fungus. I kept using the Dr.'s Remedy polish and the fungus never came back. The polish is really beautiful, goes on really well and they have great colors. I'm sold on this product and can hardly believe it is this good.

Nice Nail Polish!
I am using my first bottle of this nail polish. I like it - it goes on smoothly and seems to last as long as other nail polishes. I'm glad to have this as I am taking medication for toenail fungus, which is working, but slowly. For this reason, I'm glad to have found a polish that won't inhibit the work the medication is doing. The only reason I gave it four starts instead of five is that I'm not crazy about the color I ordered (Purity Pink). It's a very light pink and I needed to apply three coats to achieve the shade of pink I like. I will try a different shade of pink next time. Otherwise, I recommend this polish and like the fact that it contains natural ingredients.

Wonderful product.
I've had ugly tonail fungus since I was a child. I used regular nail polish which made it worse. So for years I used nothing and didn't wear sandles. Or, if I did, I tried to hide my toes. This past summer, I came across Drs. Remedy nail polish. Expensive but I tried the turquoise. OMG! I couldn't believe it. It covered like magic, is long lasting, and I couldn't stop looking at my toes. After a few weeks, when I took it off, my nails looked healthier than ever. I bought 2 more colors and now I'm getting the base coat.

Love this polish

Favorite Nail polish
So many colors to choose from, I have a small collection already and always love finding a new color I adore. It stays for a long time on the toes, not so much on the finger nails. Chips pretty easily on the finger after about 2 days. Toes stay on for at least a week.

Love that Dr's Remedy Nail Polish!
Years ago I developed a yellowing, fungal toenail condition that seemed to be caused by using nail polish. So I stopped using nail polish and started envying the beautiful painted toes of other women. In an unrelated web search, I discovered Dr\'s Remedy nail polish and remover. I ordered right away. I love that it has natural healing qualities and feel good about using it. It looks and feels like good quality polish, but is good for my toenails! I am so happy!

I have enjoyed my toxic free polish. The only thing I wish you had is mirrored polishes. I am not sure if mirrored polish is possible being toxic free, but if so....."I would love to see some"

Threw out all other nail polishes
I absolutely love Dr. Remedy's nail polish. It's not only good for your nails, but when you use the base coat, color, and top coat it stays put for an extreamly long time. I'm used to nail polish rubbing off the first day of wearing closed toe shoes. This nail polish is awesome. Although it didn't help surface toenail fungus go away it did make them look pretty untill I could see a dr.

I recently had the opportunity to try Dr.'s Remedy nail polish and was very impressed with the product. I was excited that this nail polish is free from harmful toxic ingredients and is a healthier alternative for my nails. It also includes tea tree oil and garlic bulb extract to prevent nail fungus which is always a plus in my book. The square bottles are easy to hold and use for self-application. The Defense Deep Red and Relaxing Rose colors were both beautiful and vibrant. I applied a clear Basic Base coat before and after the color and was amazed that after 3 weeks there was no chipping! My nails looked as good as the day the polish was applied. Impressive! I highly recommend Dr.'s Remedy nail polish and look forward to
trying other colors.

I love this nail polish. Every nail polish that I have used before this one, turned my nails yellow and made them dry and brittle. I was excited when I found out about this nail polish and it has not disappointed. I have used it consistently since I received it a few months ago and not only have my nails not turned yellow they seem to be healthier and shiner!

Good purchase.
I was told by my doctor that I could order this nail polish collection online. I was so happy to be able to color my nails without worrying about causing another episode of nail fungus. I had it applied by my nail technician during my next pedicure. She said it went on smoothly and the coverage was very good. The color lasted a very long time. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great Stuff! Buy Base Coat.
I bought the base coat, the Purity Pink & top coat because I am trying to stay away from chemicals in cosmetics as much as possible.

On my finger nails polish never lasts more than a few days and this lasted a full week with out chipping. I noticed if you don't get the base coat it peels but you can go without the top coat although it does stay on longer with both base & top coat. Am going to buy a brighter color for my toes this summer.

Can you bill my insurance company or can I use Medicare to buy my shoes?

No, we do not work with insurance companies or Medicare. The codes on some pages are provided as a guideline in selecting products that adhere to the strict guideline established by the U.S. government. The Therapeutic Shoe Bill (which pays for shoes for at risk Diabetics) was designed to ensure that at-risk diabetics were actually fit by a skilled practitioner to check the fit of the shoe on the foot to decrease the odds of amputation.

I need a shoe with great support and extra depth.

All of our shoes are orthopedic, diabetic or therapeutic.

90 % of our shoes have removable insoles and have added depth. Each shoe will specify under "Special Features" if it has removable insoles and added depth.

How do I use my orthotics in my new shoes?

Go to here for instructions.

It is suggested that you remove the existing inserts and unlace the shoe completely. Check the length of the new insert against the existing insert, and trim to fit if necessary. Insert the new insert making sure to butt the heel and roll the orthotic into the toe section. Next put the shoes on and stand up, making sure the insert is lying flat. Next, lace the shoes to conform to the unique shape of your foot.

I am normally a 2E but the shoe I am looking at is not offered in a 2E. What width do I choose?

Each manufacturer gets to establish their own width standards. Some width sizes are in even numbers and some are in odd numbers. A 2E with one manufacturer might be the same as a 3E with another. Again, the difference between each width size is about 1/8th of an inch.

What is the difference between a 2E and a 5E in a slipper?

A 2E and a 5E are the same width for slippers, but the upper is enhanced by " to allow for the increased width.

My Doctor says I need a shoe with a good arch support, what would you suggest?

Most of the shoe & slipper brands we carry have shoes with excellent arch support. If you have questions on a specific brand or style, feel free to call our customer service staff at 1-866-324-2228.

In addition, most of our shoes have removable footbeds to accommodate your custom orthotics or over the counter arch support insoles. You can put arch supports insoles into any shoe that has a removable footbed. Shoes with a removable insole or shoes that have extra depth make it easier to put an insole or arch support in them.

What is the difference between a 3/4 arch support and a full length?

A 3/4 arch support extends from the ball of the foot (right behind the toes) to the heel. A full length insole extends the entire length of the foot. A 3/4 length insole is more appropriate for dress shoes or those with hammertoes, crossed toes or bunions that may need that extra room. The full length insole offers cushioning the entire length of the foot and is trimmable with ordinary household scissors.

Can I order 2 pair of shoes and send one pair back if they do not fit?

What makes a shoe a diabetic shoe?

There are four main characteristics of a diabetic shoe:

  • Avaialble in at least 3 widths (N, M, W, XW, etc.)
  • Made of a protective material (normally leather)
  • Solid means of closure (tie or Velcro)
  • Extra 3/16" interior depth to accomodate orthotics

What are European sizes?

European sizes are based on a metric measurement. They are not normally available in widths. Please visit our sizing chart.

What is the difference between extra, double and super depth?

Extra-depth includes all diabetic shoes (by definition) that incorporates 3/8" interior depth

Double or extra-depth is 1/8" more, which makes it 1/2 inches deep

Super depth is at least 9/16 of an ince

What will happen if I refuse my shipment?

When you place an order, you are making a commitment to purchase that item, and your payment will be processed at the time the order is placed. If your order is returned to us or our manufacturer, and there was no error on our part, or, if you refuse delivery of the package after ordering, you will be assessed a 20% restocking fee. Original shipping charges are not refundable. You will be responsible for the carrier's return shipping charges for refused items that are shipped back to us, our manufacturer, or our warehouse. All such fees will be deducted prior to issuing a credit or refund, or billed to the credit card provided during registration and/or checkout.

What if I want to cancel my order?

Healthyfeetstore.com endeavors to expedite all orders to customers as quickly as possible. When you are shopping online, you may cancel your order at anytime by just closing the browser window. In the event you have processed the order and find that you need to cancel it, change an item in the order, or change the shipping address, please call us at 1-866-324-3338. Shipping Address Errors and Undeliverable Shipments

We will do our best to correct the address if the order has not shipped. If a package is unclaimed and returned because of unsuccessful delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for paying any additional shipping charges. We do not issue shipping refunds for the original shipment or the return shipment.

Disputed Charges or Chargebacks

If you are not pleased with our service or products for any reason, please contact us immediately. We are happy to work with you to achieve a satisfactory resolution. Please note that you will be charged a $25 bank fee upon our notification of a disputed charge or chargeback with your credit card company. Just like a canceled check or a check with insufficient funds, this fee is paid by the customer as a bank processing fee and is non-refundable.

What is the status of my order?

If your shoes have shipped, you should have received an e-mail with the tracking number. If not, please call us at 1-866-324-3338 with your order number and/or full name.

The tracking information for my purchase says that my package has been delivered, but I did not get it.

If the tracking number says the package was delivered but you did not receive it, please check your front, side and back yards. Ask neighbors if they received the package by mistake or if they saw where the UPS or USPS worker put the package. If the package was shipped to an apartment/condo complex or an office building, check with the front desk or management office. If you still do not find the package, call UPS with the tracking information and ask for assistance. Once you have attempted to find the package and it is still missing, call us and we will assist you.

My bank shows I was charged twice for my order.

What you are seeing is an "authorization" for the charge, not the actual "charge." The authorization is made when you place the order to inform your bank to reserve the funds to complete the purchase. The actual charge replaces the authorization when the order is processed. The actual charge may not exceed the authorization charge.

I received defective shoes.

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order. You may return defective shoes within the return period. Please call us at 1-866-324-3338 about your defective shoes and we will set up a free return for you. Normal wear and tear of the shoes is not considered a defect.

Why does my order say Pending Review?

When an order says it is "Pending Review", it usually indicates there is something in the billing or shipping information that does not match the (credit) card provided. We will call you if this means that your order will be delayed. If you are concerned about your order, please call customer service and we can look into it for you.

I did not receive a packing slip in my box and I need to exchange or return my shoes.

I have returned my shoes and do not show a credit to my account.

Credits will be issued within 7 business days. We do not refund the shipping costs. We will email you when your return is complete and your account has been credited. Please note: After your credit is processed, it may take an additional week for the funds to show in your account. Most banks take approximately a week to transfer funds on a credit.
