Flexibility, Sturdiness, and Comfort for Mom's Chronically Swollen Feet
We got these to replace other shoes designed for eldercare swollen feet. The other shoes were, off and on, too tight; hard for the caregivers to work with; and somewhat flimsy. These shoes correct all of that. Especially flexibility to fit changing levels of swelling.

Wonderful supportive footwear
I purchased the Propet Cush'N Foot for my 89 year old mom. We had purchased NUMEROUS other shoes that had to be returned - because my mom could not slip her feet INTO the shoes even if the footwear was the proper size. I finally figured out she had to put her foot DOWN INTO the shoe and the opening had to be wide enough to allow for that motion. Once the velcro opening is exposed the Cush'N Foot has a WIDE entry suitable for diabetics and those with neuropathy. The velcro allows for adjusting to individual widths and does not irritate those with bone spurs or bunions. Excellent support yet light enough not to weigh down steps.

Finally a shoe that fits
We have tried to purchase shoes for my mother in law, who has severe swelling due to diabetes and kidney failure numerous times. This is the first shoe that has actually worked. We ordered a 2XX width (4EE), and it is actually large enough for her to get her foot into comfortably.

Great shoes
I purchased these shoes for my 98 year old mother in law. She suffers from edema and her foot size is inconsistent, at best. These shoes have enough give to accommodate her daily foot size fluctuations. I used the "How to find the right size" video on the website to guide my choice of sizing. My only concern is that the insole fits poorly and I'm worried it will slide around under her foot. That remains to be seen.

Only shoe I can wear love it
I have swelling and one foot swells more than the other. So much so one foot is one size and other foot is another. This is only shoe that accommodates and is comfortable. Tie shoes hurt the top of my foot. My inserts fit in the shoe as well. This gives the shoe more support.

Too small
Well i'm a true size 6 but thought I'd order a 6.5 just in case because sometimes shoes from elsewhere seems the sizes are on the small size. Well
These are to small on me. And have to send them back. So seems a 7 would be the right size for me with these. But they would be nice, they are very soft.

HELPFUL FOR SWOLLEN FEET
I used these shoes briefly when edema in legs and feet after surgery kept me from wearing other shoes. They were very helpful in a time of need. However, making a print of one's foot on paper will eliminate ordering the wrong size which I did the first time.

Almost Perfect
The only shoes Mom has been able to wear lately have been a mules style. Between neuropathy, arthritis and bunions, she has a lot of pain putting on most shoes. I've worried about her feet being exposed in the upcoming snowy weather. I ordered these, hoping for a good cold weather solution.
She loves them! The big opening makes it easy to put on without catching her toes. The broad Velcro keeps it firmly in place. The thick stretchy material cushions and covers her foot. The simple design looks sleek not clunky. The.only caveat is she'd like a little more arch support. This has been the best solution we have found. Thank you!

Lightness & washability
Thank you for the quick delivery of these shoes. Mom liked the lightness & the fact that they are washable. She suffers from gout related pain in her big toes. She can wear these for a few hours without any pinching. Because her feet so are swollen the tab that comes across the top doesn't close flat across her foot. It would help if it wasn't so wide.
Thank you for this stretchable shoe. It is the first shoe she has been able to wear for more than a couple hours a day in over a year.

Happy 88 yr old momma
I purchased these shoes for my 88 year old mom. She has very narrow feet and it is not easy finding shoes that fit her. Her feet do not swell, however, she has neuropathy and bunions. My mom has fit into an 8N perfectly and is comfortable and happy in these shoes. She claims they are the most comfortable shoe she has worn in years. According to my mom, this shoe has great support. Easy for her to put on and she likes the way they make her feet look small.

Bye bye sore feet!
I have a few foot conditions to say the least. One being wide feet. I have always had to buy men's shoes for the width but they have always been long for me. I also have "under pronation" (which I didn't know the correct term until reading on this site!) And had to buy corrective inserts. Since purchasing these shoes, my feet do not hurt not my knees or his for that matter! I have a "happy" step and have been told by many if my feet are really that small! Having the correct size really does show how small my feet are in length. I have personally told a few of my friends and customers about this site and cannot say enough good things about my shoes to date. My next "hopeful" find is a great pair of snow boots!

Couldn't be happier
We bought these shoes for our mother, who has swollen ankles and feet. Not only do they fit perfectly, she likes them. The shoes are comfortable and give her the needed support for walking. We couldn't be happier with them. We used the fitting charts provided on the Healthy Feet Store website, to determine the size, which was very helpful. We no longer have to struggle to put her shoes on, which is a real blessing. Thank you for selling this shoe.

Relief
I have worn this shoes a minimum of 5 days/week for over 6 months.
The give in the upper of this shoe gives me relief with my Tailor Bunion as well as my big toes and heel pain. A drawback is that my left foot seems to slide to the outside of the shoe and over the sole where I tend to pronate outwards. I think the shoe is a little too wide (a rarity for me). The next time I will try the extra wide for my 4E feet.
The included insole was nice for about two days and then flattened and offered too little support so I switched them out for my custom orthopedics which did not work well with this shoe. I then bought high end ($50) Dr. Scholl's 1/2 pads that work well except there is no relief for the ball of my feet. There is a lack of arch support without the 1/2 pad.
The strap on the left foot irritates the nerve on the upper inside of my foot. This may be because I had to tighten it down because of foot slippage towards the outside of the shoe. I have a hump on the upper part of my foot (top of the arch) that the strap rests against.
For having a wide variety of foot problems this shoe comes the closest of all the shoes I have tried to giving me pain relieve throughout my workday.
ProsLots of give for my tailor bunion. Lots of give for my heel spurs. Lots of give for my toes. Gives to edema as the day progresses.
ConsLack of side support (mid foot) for my feet. The included inserts failed to provide support within days. Poor arch support. The sole is too slick for working in (hospital floors).

Great shoes for swollen feet
These are perfect shoes for swollen feet. I'm able to easily slip them on and off, and the flap gently covers my upper foot. There are no harsh indentation marks when I remove the shoes. I'm going to buy the slippers version too.

Finally!
I ordered these shoes for my mother-in-law that has extra wide feet and malformed toes. We finally found a pair of shoes she can wear that don't cause her pain. She needs shoes that are wide, have a wide toe box, are stretchable and soft. She is so happy.

Great for swollen feet!
I had surgery on one foot (bunions on both sides) and my foot was swollen and will be for awhile. These shoes feel really good as they are soft and are easy to get on and off. They are adjustable with the top closure so fit both feet. Will continue to use them for house slippers.

Do you have any physical store locations in my area?

No. Healthyfeetstore.com is an online store with our warehouse and administrative office based out of Walpole, MA. Please call 1-866-324-3338 or email cservice@healthyfeetstore.com for any questions.

What size shoes should I order?

We also have a sizing chart on our web site. This sizing chart can be used for European to U.S. sizing conversions and has the approximate inches per size. Keep in mind that most retail shoes are medium width.

The difference between shoe lengths is approximately 1/3 inch and the difference between widths is approximately 1/8 inch.

If your shoes are too small or too big, we offer free exchanges. Please contact us at 1-866-324-3338 so we can assist you with your exchange.

When will I get my order?

Please read our Total Delivery Time calculation page to help you estimate your package's time of arrival.

How do I know if the shoes I want are in stock?

I need the shoes or foot care product by tomorrow.

We do not ship overnight.

We offer express shipping which is available for most shoes and products. With express shipping, you will receive the shoes, products or slippers in two to three days plus processing time.

How do I return shoes?

Please read through our Return Information page.

How do I exchange shoes?

Please read through our Exchange Information page.

Can you bill my insurance company or can I use Medicare to buy my shoes?

No, we do not work with insurance companies or Medicare. The codes on some pages are provided as a guideline in selecting products that adhere to the strict guideline established by the U.S. government. The Therapeutic Shoe Bill (which pays for shoes for at risk Diabetics) was designed to ensure that at-risk diabetics were actually fit by a skilled practitioner to check the fit of the shoe on the foot to decrease the odds of amputation.

I need a shoe with great support and extra depth.

All of our shoes are orthopedic, diabetic or therapeutic.

90 % of our shoes have removable insoles and have added depth. Each shoe will specify under "Special Features" if it has removable insoles and added depth.

How do I use my orthotics in my new shoes?

Go to here for instructions.

It is suggested that you remove the existing inserts and unlace the shoe completely. Check the length of the new insert against the existing insert, and trim to fit if necessary. Insert the new insert making sure to butt the heel and roll the orthotic into the toe section. Next put the shoes on and stand up, making sure the insert is lying flat. Next, lace the shoes to conform to the unique shape of your foot.

I am normally a 2E but the shoe I am looking at is not offered in a 2E. What width do I choose?

Each manufacturer gets to establish their own width standards. Some width sizes are in even numbers and some are in odd numbers. A 2E with one manufacturer might be the same as a 3E with another. Again, the difference between each width size is about 1/8th of an inch.

What is the difference between a 2E and a 5E in a slipper?

A 2E and a 5E are the same width for slippers, but the upper is enhanced by " to allow for the increased width.

My Doctor says I need a shoe with a good arch support, what would you suggest?

Most of the shoe & slipper brands we carry have shoes with excellent arch support. If you have questions on a specific brand or style, feel free to call our customer service staff at 1-866-324-3338.

In addition, most of our shoes have removable footbeds to accommodate your custom orthotics or over the counter arch support insoles. You can put arch supports insoles into any shoe that has a removable footbed. Shoes with a removable insole or shoes that have extra depth make it easier to put an insole or arch support in them.

What is the difference between a 3/4 arch support and a full length?

A 3/4 arch support extends from the ball of the foot (right behind the toes) to the heel. A full length insole extends the entire length of the foot. A 3/4 length insole is more appropriate for dress shoes or those with hammertoes, crossed toes or bunions that may need that extra room. The full length insole offers cushioning the entire length of the foot and is trimmable with ordinary household scissors.

Can I order 2 pair of shoes and send one pair back if they do not fit?

Yes, you will need to pay return postage for returns. See our Return Information page.

What makes a shoe a diabetic shoe?

There are four main characteristics of a diabetic shoe:

  • Avaialble in at least 3 widths (N, M, W, XW, etc.)
  • Made of a protective material (normally leather)
  • Solid means of closure (tie or Velcro)
  • Extra 3/16" interior depth to accomodate orthotics

What are European sizes?

European sizes are based on a metric measurement. They are not normally available in widths. Please visit our sizing chart.

What is the difference between extra, double and super depth?

Extra-depth includes all diabetic shoes (by definition) that incorporates 3/8" interior depth

Double or extra-depth is 1/8" more, which makes it 1/2 inches deep

Super depth is at least 9/16 of an ince
